Vegan Cacao Dusted Almonds
These Cacao Dusted Almonds my new obsession for a mid afternoon snack. A source of healthy fats, a touch of plant protein and lots of chocolate flavour which is great for managing stress levels. They are also Dairy free, Vegan, and last up to a month in a sealed jar.
- 200g raw almonds
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp of honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- A pinch of sea salt
1.Sift the cocoa powder, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
2.In a small saucepan, heat honey and vanilla extract over low heat for one minute.
3.Once the honey mixture is “runny”, add the almonds into a large bowl and pour of the honey mixture whilst mixing the almonds so you get full coverage.
4.Quickly combine the honey coated almonds with the cocoa powder mixture and mix until the almonds are dusted with cocoa.
5.Keep in a sealed jar and can last up to month!
